Emmendingen Centre for Psychiatry – New Forensic Psychiatric Facility

For the Emmendingen Centre for Psychiatry, wpw designed a new ward within the forensic psychiatric facility to accommodate twelve patients in three groups, as well as a secure unit. The design complied with the strict safety requirements for forensic psychiatric facilities and was implemented while the existing listed building remained operational.

New Laboratory Building

The Heidelberg for Life Innovation Campus is being developed in several construction phases as a modern research and development platform with direct access to the existing infrastructure of Heidelberg University Hospital.
A key element of the development is a new laboratory building designed to meet the highest standards of functionality, safety and flexibility.

Emile Mayrisch Hospital (CHEM) & François Baclesse Centre (CFB)

In Luxembourg, the new CHEM and CFB buildings are creating a tertiary care hospital that combines state-of-the-art medicine with patient-centred care of the highest standard.
The complex is divided into several building sections. Building 100 accommodates the emergency department, radiology, endoscopy, nuclear medicine, central sterilisation, operating theatres and a helicopter landing pad.

New Extension Building for Nohfelden Elementary School

With the opening of the new extension to Nohfelden-Sötern Elementary School in May 2025, the municipality sent a strong signal in support of sustainable school construction.
The project combines architectural quality, educational innovation and sustainable construction – and is the first school building in Saarland to be certified according to DGNB criteria.
