Inventory Survey and Evaluation

Stability starts with the foundation

Every structure is unique—shaped by its history, the materials used, its construction method, and its intended use. Anyone who wants to continue working with an existing building or infrastructure needs one thing above all else: certainty about the condition of the existing structure. Only on a solid foundation can decisions regarding alterations, expansions, or renovations be made responsibly.

At WPW, we do not view the inventory survey as a secondary step, but rather as an essential component of a successful project. Our experience shows that a detailed analysis not only saves time and money, but also mitigates risks and provides planning certainty for all parties involved.

Our approach

We take a holistic approach to existing structures—from the load-bearing structure to the materials and technical systems. In doing so, we combine in-depth engineering expertise with state-of-the-art measurement technology and non-destructive testing methods. Our goal is not only to document the condition of the building but also to gain a comprehensive understanding of it.

We place special emphasis on the potential for future adaptations: Can the building be expanded or repurposed? What repair measures are necessary to ensure the long-term preservation of the existing structure? What opportunities exist for sustainable further development?
