Heidelberg for Life Innovation Campus – New Laboratory Building
The Heidelberg for Life Innovation Campus is being developed in several construction phases as a modern research and development platform with direct access to the existing infrastructure of Heidelberg University Hospital. A central element is the construction of a new laboratory building that meets the highest standards for functionality, safety, and flexibility. wpw was responsible for the general technical planning for all building systems—heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, material handling, gas supply, and building automation. In addition, wpw planned the infrastructure for drinking water, process water, wastewater, electricity, and telecommunications. With this comprehensive planning expertise, wpw made a decisive contribution to the successful realization of a forward-looking research facility.
