: Complete Renovation

Collegium Building II is one of the largest buildings at the University of Freiburg and is a defining feature of the university center in downtown Freiburg. wpw has been commissioned to plan the technical systems as part of the comprehensive renovation—including fire safety and energy efficiency upgrades, as well as the modernization of the building services. The building houses lecture halls, seminar rooms, and central facilities for the entire university. The Audimax seats 800 people, and two additional lecture halls each seat 400. The space layout is complemented by office and administrative areas, a library, seminar rooms, a shopping arcade, and a student café. The underground parking garage is also being completely renovated.
