New building Centre National d’Incendie et de Secours (CNIS)
The new Centre National d’Incendie et de Secours (CNIS) is Luxembourg’s central fire and security center – a key project within the Ban de Gasperich urban development. The CNIS brings together all fire and rescue services, a school with 60 guest rooms and comprehensive training and exercise facilities under one roof.
The complex includes the National Disaster Response Center, featuring high-availability control rooms, as well as an examination and treatment center with laboratories designed for use in the event of accidents, epidemics, and pandemics. The complex is complemented by training halls, seminar rooms and lecture halls, a cafeteria, and a gymnasium.
wpw took on the overall coordination and management of the commissioning processes. This included developing a plan for cross-trade functional tests and integrating them into the construction schedule. After the building was put into use, wpw also optimized the building services systems over a period of two years as part of its technical monitoring program.
