Construction of a New Daycare Centre in Mettlach – Space for Growth and Sustainability

A modern daycare centre is being built on Britter Straße in Mettlach, offering space for learning, physical activity and social interaction. The building will accommodate two infant groups, two mixed-age groups and three groups for children aged three and over. The layout is complemented by special education rooms, a multipurpose room, a dining room, as well as lounge and office areas for staff.

The surrounding outdoor areas will be designed to suit the respective age groups, with a variety of play areas and green spaces that invite children to explore and discover. New paths, parking spaces, cycle racks and electric vehicle charging stations will ensure convenient and sustainable access.

The new building will be certified according to the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), setting a high standard for sustainable educational facilities in Saarland.
