Future Mobility Development Center (FMDC) – Master Planning

As the general planner for the BMW Group’s Future Mobility Development Center in Sokolov, wpw looks back on a major milestone. Since the initial project contact in 2012, the company—in collaboration with international partners—has created a state-of-the-art testing and development environment for the mobility of tomorrow. The scale of the project placed the highest demands on planning, coordination, and technical implementation. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and modern technologies, complex processes were carried out efficiently and with quality assurance. Particular focus was placed on coordinating numerous international trades and overcoming organizational, linguistic, and cultural challenges. With the FMDC’s commissioning in 2024, a forward-looking chapter in vehicle development was opened. The center stands for state-of-the-art testing technologies, innovative planning solutions, and a partnership in action that transcends borders.
