Ensdorf Elementary School – New Extension Building

The municipality of Ensdorf is responding to rising student numbers, the statutory entitlement to full-day care from 2026 and the structural condition of the existing buildings by constructing a new extension. Following the demolition of two existing buildings, a modern replacement building is being constructed on the site. It will provide classrooms and ancillary rooms, staff facilities for the FGTS programme, modern sanitary facilities and a cafeteria for daily lunch service.

wpw was responsible for procurement management for professional services as part of the EU-wide procurement of planning services through three separate procedures: building design, conducted as a negotiated procedure with a call for competition and proposed solutions; structural engineering; and building services engineering, each conducted as a negotiated procedure with a call for competition.

In addition, wpw provided the municipality of Ensdorf with procurement management services for national procurement procedures under the UVgO for services relating to building physics and fire protection in accordance with building regulations.
