Charging Infrastructure and Underground Utility Line Rehabilitation – BVG’s Indira-Ghandi-Straße Bus Depot
Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe is the main public transportation operator for local public transit in Berlin. As part of the electrification of the bus fleet, the central parking area of the bus depot is being gradually renovated. The construction of charging stations within a historic preservation context, a reorganization of the traffic facilities, and a comprehensive renewal of the utility and waste management infrastructure while operations continue present the particular challenges of this project. wpw has taken on the Project 2025 as the general planner.
The integration of all disciplines, combined with a large number of stakeholders, requires a tailored project organization and an agile approach, which were implemented in collaboration with the client.
