Deutz Algeria Building Concept – Modernization and Expansion

For SAFMMA’s facility in Algeria, WPW developed a comprehensive building concept for the renovation and expansion of the engine production site in Constantine, Algeria.

The goal was to adapt to current legal and production-related requirements and to optimize operational processes.

The plans included the renovation of the fire protection and electrical systems, a smoke and heat exhaust system, thermodynamic ventilation, measures for wastewater treatment and roof drainage, as well as the renovation of the restroom facilities. The plan is supplemented by a fuel storage facility, a new compressed air supply, energy-efficient LED lighting, and a potential solar power system.

Other measures included optimizing logistics, renovating industrial floors, expanding the paint shop, and modernizing the building envelope, restrooms, and office areas.
