Deutz Algeria Building Concept – Modernization and Expansion

For SAFMMA’s facility in Constantine, Algeria, wpw developed a comprehensive building concept for the renovation and expansion of the engine production site.

The aim was to adapt the facility to current legal and production-related requirements and to optimise operational processes.

The concept included the renovation of the fire protection and electrical systems, a smoke and heat exhaust system, thermodynamic ventilation, measures for wastewater treatment and roof drainage, as well as the renovation of the sanitary facilities. It was complemented by a fuel storage facility, a new compressed air supply, energy-efficient LED lighting and the potential installation of a solar power system.

Further measures included the optimisation of logistics, the renovation of industrial floors, the expansion of the paint shop, and the modernisation of the building envelope, sanitary facilities and office areas.
