Development of the Bostalsee Holiday Park

On the shores of Lake Bostal in northern Saarland, a new holiday park was developed, featuring holiday homes, several holiday villages and a central complex with a swimming pool, wellness facilities, restaurants and administrative offices.
wpw was responsible for the comprehensive planning of the site development, including site preparation and terrain modelling for the approximately 94-hectare area. In addition to traffic planning, the scope of services included the planning of all utility and supply infrastructure – from water, gas, electricity and lighting to drainage and IT infrastructure.
A key focus was on developing a sustainable energy supply based on renewable energy sources, including heat pumps, geothermal energy, biomass and combined heat and power. The aim was to create an efficient and forward-looking energy concept in harmony with the natural surroundings.
